I am an Assistant Professor of Biostatistics in the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Broadly, my expertise lies in statistical methods development related to causal inference, missing data, non/semiparametrics, machine learning, and the use of administrative and electronic health record data for comparative effectiveness research. I am interested in a broad range of application areas spanning the biomedical sciences, focusing recently on problems in surgery, experimental neuroscience, and mental health.
Before joining the University of Pennsylvania, I was a postdoctoral researcher in the Statistics & Data Science department at Carnegie Mellon University, where I was advised by Edward Kennedy. I previously completed a PhD in Biostatistics at Harvard University, advised by Sebastien Haneuse, and obtained a MSc in Biostatistics and BSc in Pharmacology from McGill University.
